16.5 inch GFS Monarch Cob GP S650 Black Adjustable

GFS Monarch Cob GP S650 16.5″ Adjustable Saddle – Black

Finding a compact saddle for a broader, short-backed horse or cob type can be tricky. You need enough spine and shoulder clearance without crowding the rider or creating pressure points. The GFS Monarch Cob GP S650 is designed specifically to meet that need. Built with straighter panels, a low-wither profile, and a wide central channel, it delivers a secure, balanced fit on rounder builds while giving smaller adult or junior riders a comfortable, close-contact seat.

At Premium Saddle Shop, our workshop team hand-inspects every pre-owned saddle prior to listing. This 16.5″ Monarch Cob GP is in solid working order, completely structurally sound, and ready for everyday hacking, flatwork, schooling, and general-purpose riding.

Designed for Wider Cobs & Compact Riders

The Monarch Cob GP S650 provides a flat, stable platform tailored to broader equine anatomy and smaller rider proportions:

• Spine & Shoulder Clearance: Features a generous channel to protect the spine, paired with straighter-cut panels that give broad shoulders complete freedom of movement.

• Compact 16.5″ Seat: Ideal for smaller adults, teens, or short-backed horses where a longer panel would crowd the lumbar region.

• X-Change Gullet System: Accommodates gullet plates from Narrow all the way up to 4X-Wide, making seasonal weight shifts or muscle development simple to manage.

• Movable Knee & Calf Support: Adjustable Velcro blocks let you tailor thigh support directly to your leg position.

• Versatile All-Rounder: Perfect for riders who enjoy a mix of trail riding, weekday schooling, riding club events, and low-level jumping.

Condition Report

Grade 4 — Good Used Condition

This saddle has been thoroughly inspected and is 100% structurally sound with expected cosmetic signs of previous use:

• Flaps: Moderate, normal surface wear on both left and right flaps from stirrup leathers.

• Trim & Gullet: Minor wear around the front binding trim and visible white paint markings inside the gullet channel (not visible when ridden).

• Structure: The polymer tree, billets, stitching, and flocked panels are fully intact and in sound working condition.

We encourage you to review all detailed photos for an exact look at its cosmetic appearance.
