17 inch Thorowgood T4 Compact GP MGC Black Adjustable

Thorowgood T4 Compact GP MGC 17″ Adjustable Synthetic Saddle – Black

Finding a supportive, lightweight saddle that doesn’t feel bulky beneath a smaller frame can be a challenge. The Thorowgood T4 Compact GP MGC is engineered specifically with a compact rider profile in mind. Built on a slightly flatter tree with slimline wool-flocked panels and a narrower twist, it delivers an ultra-close connection without swamping petite riders or crowding short-backed horses—making it an ideal, low-maintenance workhorse for everyday schooling, hacking, and riding club fun.

At Best Horse Saddle Shop, our workshop team hand-inspects every pre-owned saddle before listing. This 17″ T4 Compact GP is 100% structurally sound, exceptionally tidy, and ready for many more miles in the arena or on the trail.

Designed for Compact Frames & Close Contact

The T4 Compact GP MGC packs high-end ergonomic design into a lightweight, rider-friendly format:

• Petite-Proportioned Architecture: Features a slightly deeper seat with a slim waist, giving smaller or narrower-hipped riders a secure, centred seat without feeling forced apart.

• Slimline Wool-Flocked Panels: Traditional wool flocking allows your local fitter to fine-tune panel balance, while the low-profile panel design keeps you close to your horse.

• SIMA R-Bar Changeable Gullet: Swapping gullet bars from Narrow-Medium up to XX-Wide takes minutes, making seasonal weight shifts or muscle development easy to handle.

• Effortless Maintenance: Tough synthetic materials mean no oiling or tedious leather care—simply wipe down with a damp cloth after rides.

• Custom Leg Support & Girthing: Movable Velcro knee and calf blocks combine with flexible girthing options (including balance strap options) to anchor the saddle securely.
